We stopped in before going to Eat Street. The staff were friendly enough and the coffee was good, albeit, a tad cool. Oh, and a bit too slow to come out. Otherwise, it&#39;s s safe bet if your looking for coffee with milk alternatives.

Sono Japanese Restaurant Portside Wharf located in 39 Hercules St, Hamilton | Level 1, Building 7, Portside Wharf, Brisbane, Queensland 4007, Australia, we had a very pleasant meal at this restaurant. We thought it was definitely worth the money because we felt everything here was very in line with our taste. The sake here is delicious! The sashimi here is the best I have ever eaten! I didn&rsquo;t really like the spicy dishes but it was just a matter of my personal taste and not what the food itself was. The staff at this restaurant were very lovely and our experience was great. The cocktails were great too! This is the best restaurant I&rsquo;ve ever been to!

Enjoyable night!Second time for dinner, the muscles are to die for...... chicken was just as good! Topped off with an Italian glass of Pinot Gris....

Amazing mealsWe had dinner after the movies , so conveniently located to each other at Portside. We had booked for 8pm but arrived and 7.30pm and there were very accommodating and found us a table right away. The menu was really interesting , however the meal I chose was unavailable :-( but he substitute meal was absolutely delicious, so I will just have to return the try the other one :-) The waitress was very professional and friendly.A really lovely meal.

Sadly, this place is just not as good as it used to be. The food was overcooked and pizzas were burnt in places and dry. The service staff are quite abrupt and rude. This is the second time in a row that we&#39;ve experienced the exact same problems.

Came for a late lunch on Sunday and was really impressed with the food and the service. The young male waiter that served us was fabulous, attentive but not overbearing. Both our mains and desserts were high quality and the meals were served promptly. The first glass of wine ordered tasted off but it was quickly replaced with an apology and a check to ensure the new glass was satisfactory. Overall really happy. We&#39;ll be back

The staff are friendly enough and coffee better than average, however, that&#39;s where it ends. Kitchen was dirty and one staff member wiped out a dog water bowl with the same cloth he was cleaning dishes and tables with. Food ingredient were nice but it was obvious that the meals were created by amateur cooks. Avo was brown, goats cheese soft, creamy and tasteless, Turkish bread dry, warm bread rather than toast. Tables were sticky and in need of a proper clean. Meals served on wooden mini chopping boards which I thought had been banned in most modern countries due to hygiene concerns. Ok for a quick coffee but that&#39;s it.

I have been coming to Deer Sir for the last 2 years or so daily because they serve Allpress coffee. It&#39;s true to say they know me, how I like my coffee, what I like to eat etc. It&#39;s particularly pleasant to enjoy a coffee, read the papers and relax taking in the breeze off of the river especially in the summer months. I read the other detrimental reviews and yes, it&#39;s run by young inexperienced staff; I&#39;ve had my avocado completely drenched in balsamic vinegar, my cake overheated in the microwave and served day old stale croissants &amp; cakes. They have taken everything on board when I&#39;ve brought it to their attention in a polite, courteous manner. As I said I go there because they do make a lovely coffee and I love Allpress. However I do not wish to be surrounded by foul mouthed bikies who refuse to curtail their language. They started frequenting Deer Sir by just 2 and now there can be as many as 8 - 12 of them having breakfast - loud, uncouth, obnoxious with filthy language. I have asked them personally on a couple of occasions to please refrain from using such language and quieten down; to no avail. I spoke to the young Manager on Monday and asked him to please go and ask them to stop, he gave a big grin. &#39;No&#39; I said &#39;it&#39;s not funny, their language is disgusting and your client&egrave;le are just walking on passed when they hear.&#39; He never came out and spoke to them. I can only presume he didn&#39;t have the confidence and most likely felt intimidated. Or maybe one regular customer coming on a daily basis for a coffee wanting a quiet, pleasant ambience just doesn&#39;t cut it.

Kangaroo Point

No soft furnishings and very noisy.  Also no air con and it was very hot.  Pleasant  and helpful staff.  Food tasted good,  [ better than many other Italian Restos]  but presented in very ordinary manner.....   as if yo are at home.
